Brandi M. Spaethe received an MFA in poetry from Fresno State, where she worked with The Normal School and the Philip Levine Prize for Poetry. Her work has appeared in The New Engagement (Pushcart Prize nominee), National Parks Conservation Association, Minola Review, BLOOM, and elsewhere. She is the author of the chapbook To You Who Wants In and recipient of the C.G. Hanzlicek Poetry Writing Fellowship. Spaethe has been a poetry fellow at both the Tin House Writers Workshop and the Lambda Literary Emerging Writers Retreat.
She has served as program coordinator for Poets & Writers’ California office and Lambda Literary, and has taught creative and academic writing at California State University, Los Angeles, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She currently lives in Chicago, IL, where she works as a Marketing Manager at Cushman & Wakefield.
